CLEMENTON PARK SELLS FOR $2.37M

Writer's picture: Joseph CamarotaJoseph Camarota

One of the oldest amusement parks in the United States recently sold at auction for $2.37M. Located in Clementon, NJ, Clementon Park opened as a trolley park, which were popular in the early 1900's and situated themselves at the end of a trolley line, where passengers would exit the tram and enjoy a leisurely escape into a relaxing atmosphere. In the beginning, most trolley parks were setup as picnics, scenic trails, and the occasional boat ride. As they became popular, parks like Clementon started to add Ferris wheel's and carousels. Fast forward 114 years, Clementon Park offers thrill rides, kiddie rides, a splash park, midway games, and concessions.

Look for the park to reopen "early" this summer season. For more information, visit Clementon Park
