WATER PARKS AND COVID-19

Updated: Jul 28, 2020

We have received many questions regarding water parks and COVID-19.

The simple answer, from the CDC, is yes, it is safe to bring your family to pools, hot tubs, and water parks. According to the CDC web site, "there is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of recreational waters".

However, if you get past the first paragraph and continue to down the page, you will find a litany of recommendations the CDC recommends to keep water activities safe. Water recreation sites still must follow the guidelines in place; such as ensuring their water systems are up to date, implementing proper cleaning schedules for communal spaces, adding lifeguards to monitor guests, and much more.

What is our recommendation? Just ask. If you are nervous about going to a water park, call and ask what they are doing to keep you safe. Or visit their website, where you are bound to find everything they are doing to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
